In the Performing Arts classes, students learn through music as well as movement and drama, and incorporate rhythmic and melodic instruments into their performances. They also study basic elements of music theory, and units dedicated to dances from around the world and music appreciation where they listen and learn to appreciate various musical genres. Older students also learn to work on ensembles (singing, music, dance or drama) that they can then present to their classmates and parents. The Performing Arts teacher organizes concerts where students showcase what they have learned.
