Dear Esteemed MEF Family Members,

Our work concerning rich content programs in academic and social areas and preparations in our physical environments for the 2024-2025 academic year, aligned with our goal of a contemporary future, based on our belief in the strength of being a large family, continues.

I would like to share with you, my dear MEF Family, that after 37 years of experience in the education sector and 14 years of serving as the Principal of MEF High School, MEF Science and Technology High School, and Campus Director, I am continuing my journey at MEF as the General Director of MEF Schools as of July 9, 2024.

On this occasion, I respectfully and longingly remember our esteemed founder Dr İbrahim Arıkan, a valued teacher and human, nature lover, scientist, and “creator of a family without blood ties,” whose perspective on education and value for human beings has always inspired me. As our founder, Dr İbrahim Arıkan always emphasized starting a new academic year with the ideal of having a “more dynamic and successful academic year than the previous one.”

MEF Educational Institutions have been providing high-quality services to our country since 1972 and, with the power it draws from its teachers and educational administrators in the field of education, has the honour of raising individuals who carry the traces of the education they received throughout their lives. It leaves its mark with well-equipped education and teaching staff from kindergarten to university and is a leading example in the entire education sector. Since its establishment, MEF Educational Institutions have been proud of raising individuals who have grown up as good people who have learned the indispensability of a democratic environment based on a free, civilized, and secular life in accordance with Atatürk’s principles and revolutions.

In every field of education, acting with a mission that is open to pioneering innovations produced with effort, and with a deserved trust, we are aware that quality, not quantity; the process, not the result, is more important, and we strive to encourage “qualified and good people” through integrated, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary educational practices using unique educational programs, mastery learning models, differentiated instruction, activity programs, social responsibility projects, national and international programs, 21st-century skills, critical thinking, conceptual thinking, system integrity understanding, and more by acting with the awareness that the individual development of our students is much more meaningful than simply comparing them academically to each other.

We derive our energy for this mission from the imagination of our MEF students, the trust and love we have for them, our belief in a bright future to be built with them, and the trust you, dear parents, have in us. We experience the honour of raising individuals and young people who will have a say in the future of our country, acting in accordance with the principles and revolutions of Atatürk, guided by reason and science, with the trust and strength we derive from our ever-growing family.

I congratulate all our valued administrators and teachers who continue to carry forward the mission and vision of MEF Schools with effort, dedication, great success, and determination, and I would like to emphasize that MEF Schools, making a difference with their strong vision, have been a leading force in the educational world for over 50 years and will continue to raise individuals who will carry the traces of the education they receive throughout their lives with modern and universal values.  MEF Schools will build the future, with its only agenda being “education,” just like in MEF’s factory settings. Being a MEF member is a privilege.
