Dear Parents and Students,

MEF Educational Institutions has been providing quality educational services in our country since 1972 with the honour of raising individuals who are “Building Bridges between Countries and Cultures” with the strength they received from their leadership team and teachers. MEF has been a pioneer in the educational sector, standing out through its national and international schools, from kindergarten to university, with well-qualified faculty members who have introduced many firsts in their fields.

Since the first day of its establishment, MEF Educational Institutions has had the honour of integrating young individuals into society. At MEF we strive “To be an open-minded community striving for creativity,  innovation and excellence”.

Our attempt to achieve the goals we have set rests firmly on the belief of a modern future and the strength of being a united family.

I remember our esteemed founder, Dr. İbrahim Arıkan, with respect and longing. He was a scientist, a nature lover, an esteemed teacher, and a human being who devoted his life to education and “created a family without a blood bond”. I have always been inspired by his perspective on teaching and learning, the value he placed on humanity and the love and respect he showed for his teacher by having a statue of the figure who transformed his life erected on our Ulus campus.

As our esteemed founder, Dr. İbrahim Arıkan, always stated, we begin each new academic year with great hope and determination, striving to reach every student and aiming for a more dynamic and successful academic year than the previous one.

We are open to innovations and strive to be pioneers in every field of education. Acting with a mission built on effort and confidence, we understand that quality – not quantity and the process – not the result are of utmost importance. We believe that the development of our students is far more meaningful when not compared to each other in academic terms.

Our goal is to nurture ‘qualified and ethical individuals’ through our international programs, which instill in them the values of the IB Learner Profile: inquiry, knowledge, thinking, communication, principles, care, risk-taking, balance and reflection. These values will support our students in achieving their goals.

We derive our energy for this mission from our students at MEF. We trust and love them. We believe in the bright future we will build together and the confidence you, our valued parents, place in us. We take pride in raising youth and individuals who will have a voice in the future of their country with the strength and trust that we receive from our ever-growing MEF Family, which is guided by science and reason in the light of Atatürk’s revolutions and principles.

I extend my heartfelt congratulations to my colleagues as well as to all of our esteemed administrators and teachers, who uphold the mission and vision of MEF Schools with dedication, hard work, and remarkable success. I would like to emphasize that MEF Schools, which has been at the forefront of education for over 50 years, will continue to make a difference with its strong vision. We remain committed to raising individuals who will carry knowledge from their education with them throughout their lives. Our students shall embody contemporary and universal values and shape the future. Our unwavering focus will remain on ‘education’, which is at the core of MEF’s foundation. Being part of the MEF family is truly a privilege.
