Dance for Kindness was enjoyed by all at our Student Council Assembly last Friday. Thank you to Ms. Mihaela and Ms. Pinar for leading this initiative and also to the PTA for providing the Dance for Kindness stickers. |

Our Animal Care Club presented their fundraising efforts for the fennec fox, which lives in the Sahara Desert. The money raised will be sent to the World Wildlife Fund. Thank you for those who have already contributed. |

On the 12th December between 13:30-20:30 our PTA have organised a Winter Bazaar. Please do take some time to check it out before or after our Primary School Winter Concert. |

MEF International School had a stand as did some MEF IS parents at the IWI Winter Festival on Sunday at the Marriott Hotel Sisli. It was great to see so many families supporting this wonderful event. |

Grades 6-10 homerooms have been focusing on a community service theme. One of our groups in Grade 10 created a 'Canvas Wall', where students can freely display their art (poetry, stories, art, and more) for everyone to see. |

Students and teachers are working hard in preparation for the 2019 Performing Arts Concert, 'Dance Your Way to Happiness' to be held in the Big Auditorium, on Thursday, 12 December, at 6:30pm. We look forward to seeing you there. |

At our Teacher’s Appreciation evening on Friday, three of our primary school teachers (Ms Pelin, Ms Demet and Ms Karen) received a plaque to acknowledge their 5 years of service at MEF IS and one teacher (Ms Lale) received a plaque for her 15 years of service. Congratulations to you all and thank you for your hard work and support to the school. |

College counseling - it can happen anywhere! In the hallways between classes, coming up the stairs, in our office or in the classroom. As you can see, it pays off! Our students have already reported over a dozen acceptances to great universities in four different countries so far! |

MEF IS Juniors and Seniors support their school and wider community by volunteering their time, skills and creativity through the IB CAS Program. Some students, for instance, volunteered at the IWI Winter Festival. |
