Grade 4 have created awareness posters this week. Kierin reminded us to be kind and solution-oriented! Sofia explains how important it is to connect with children during these times. Even Malala did it!
Maria reminded us not to forget the elderly, the sick and the healthcare workers who take care of us!

|
Some Grade 4s also created mother tongue comics for their siblings and friends. Here is a great example of one of the student’s creative work. We particularly liked the cartoon drawing of Mr Darren as a kangaroo like character carrying his son in his pouch.

In other Grade 4 news, one of our students from this grade has been awarded ‘Number One in Europe for Mathletics’. Well done for this!

Grade 2 students have been learning about slow and fast processes on earth like landforms and natural disasters. For the summative project this past week children have been designing and building structures that could resist a fast change such as a flood, tornado, or earthquake.

Kindergarten B students have also been working on a wonderful origami project. They followed the instructions to create these beautiful crafts, while they review reading and writing sight words as well as facts about living things to support their unit of inquiry. |

Some of our Grade 2 students have been creating safety signs for COVID-19. Here are some examples of this work. Thank you Grade 2 for sharing. |

Check out some of our students' artwork this week. Some students have been experimenting making paint with dish soap, flour, and other materials around the house to add colour. |

The Social Committee has organized two events each week for staff to come together in the evenings to talk, draw, play games, share best practices and watch TV as a group. We are no da Vinci, but our 5-minute sketches aren’t bad. |
